Custom Commissioned Plague Doctor Mask
For the Plague Doctor Mask of your dreams, you've come to the right place. Whether you want a custom mask to wear or use for decoration we are excited to create anything you think up or desire.
The Regular Size masks fit a human head and each mask comes with a tie behind the head set of straps that are specific to the design of the mask. The Mini Size masks would fit a large orange, small grapefruit or house cat sized head and are mostly used as decoration, but if you know us at all you know that we'd never tell you what to do with your plague doctor cosplay mask.
With the Hand Painted option we will use paint only to decorate the mask with either a collage for the design theme or the actual theme itself. For example, if you want a Hand Painted Regular Mask that looks like Art the Clown we could either paint his face on the mask itself OR paint small scenes, sayings, his bag of weapons, an image of his top hat or the sunflower glasses from 2, etc. on the mask itself. For the Hand Painted + Handmade/Natural Extras we will both hand paint the mask and incorporate elements like clay, wire, paper mache, shells, moss, crystals, etc as part of the design. For example, if you wanted a Hand Painted Regular Mask that looks like Pinhead we would paint the mask to look like his face and then apply actual, tangible, touchable wires or spines that would be the pins. Wearable art plague doctor mask: This handmade mask starts with sheets of eva foam and takes on a life from there. The forms are hand cut and handmade, every unique sculpture and decoration is created (like the clay mushrooms, and woodgrain) by or sourced (like the crystals and natural elements such as moss) by us.
This mask is water resistant but should not be dunked or submerged in water, nor left out in the rain. Spot clean with a clean dry cloth or damp cloth if necessary. They are reinforced with under and top coats but heat is not a friend of these masks. Do not allow them to sit in temperatures above 120 degrees F for any length of time.
Each mask comes with a unique "strap" tie that matches the theme. This keeps the mask on for wearing and allows for the mask to fit almost any size of head. You can replace the ties or use anything you like to pull through the grommets on each side.
Suitable to hang on the wall as an art piece, add to a curio cabinet collection or use as a centerpiece or Halloween decoration.
Take great care when wearing our handmade Plague Doctor Masks. They are painted by hand, assembled and cut by hand and decorated by hand with unique details. They will hold up at a masquerade party or a day a a convention, but might not be the best choice for a raucous night of Halloween hell raising and howling at the moon.
